20 Sverkestaån

The little river Sverkestaån flows through beautiful nature in the Mining District of Sweden. It is quite fast with many small rapids and streams, especially in the upper part.

We only recommend this trip for experienced paddlers during high water, otherwise the streams are too shallow and stony.

The Sverkestaån also offers great opportunities for the fly-fishing enthusiast and it's said to be one of the best fishing-waters in the area (fishing license required). (Source: Peter Klinghed.)
