09 Broströmmen

Our tour along the Broströmmen is normal easy stream paddling through a nice blend of forest and agricultural land. This trip can easily be extended to include a run along the bay of Norrtäljeviken, into the town of Norrtälje itself.

In the olden days, before the ground level rose and drainage took its toll, the Broströmmen was an important sailing route. There are both runestones and wooden foundation poles found along the shoreline, that attest to this fact.
