04 Hoforsleden 1-2
The Hoforsleden stretches almost 80 km and completely crosses Gästrikland. The route not only passes canals, dams and power stations, but also interesting historical remains. The iron-working community of Gästrike-Hammarby for example, dates from the middle ages and has been active in iron working ever since. Downstream from Torsåker lies the lake Särstasjön. This is a popular resting place for many sea birds.
