17 Vasaleden  

Our tour on the Vasaleden is quite easy to paddle, but there are several long lifts required and these raise the general difficulty level of the trip. The route follows basically that taken by King Gustaf Vasa (but in a reverse direction), between Svärdsjö and Rättvik, when he attempted in vain, to gather the men of Dalarna to join him in revolt against Kristian Tyrann. After reaching Linghed it is possible to extend your trip and paddle to Falun.
