11 Vanån nedre 1-2

Paddling on the river Vanån nedre makes for a nice tour and goes through the sparsely populated countryside west of Siljan Lake. At first you paddle lake Venjansjön from the little village Venjan in the north to Johannisholm in the south.

The rest of the trip is follows the little river Vanån interuppted halfway by the narrow lake Van. In Vanån most of the rapids have vanished because of power stations and dams, whic makes the paddling easy for the beginner with just a few portages.

Continue from the outflow to Västerdalälv ne 1.
