From the town Munkedal you can paddle upstream westward along the route "Flottarleden" into the province of Dalsland. It is mostly a flat water trip on as many as 8 small lakes with narrow sounds or short land tongues between them. The landscape varies from charming countryside to hilly wilds. You can also choose to go downstream from the opposite direction. Only about 10% is streaming water.
